As I encourage You all to become backyard (or park) birders, it is important that You know that it is a cat eat bird world out there for the birds. On any given day, somebody is going to hunt somebody and kill them and eat them. That is just the way Nature works. So, what's wrong with the picture? If you guessed that one of the beautiful baby blue jays lost his tail, You would be correct. He escaped being dinner, but only by a tail! Your photostudy tonight is of the new blue jays, one with and one without a tail.
I ask You all to do something about the feral cats.

The largest decline of North American Birds, ever, is directly related to the largest increase in the Feral Cat Population-ever. What to do? You can not kill them (cruelty to animals). Yet they can kill the birds (act of Nature). Can anybody solve this situation?
Sometimes, You might feel hot and lonely and feel as if You are the only one in the World.......
Time to get your feet wet and take a look around at the big Picture...
YOU ARE NEVER ALONE!
...this is brendasue signing off from Rainbow Creek. See You next time! Kay Lonnie (my dog) wants to sleep on the roof tonight. I already made up my feather camp bed (and she has her leopard dog bed). Perfect weather and bright stars. The frogs and crickets on the creek sing the best lullabies. I will put a kiss on each star for all of You!
Sweet Dreams! Goodnight from Rainbow Creek.
