Hi Everybody! Please join us for Spring!
Welcome to the mini-nature class! I am sharing my Spring in Texas with my frozen friends across the World. I make some of my digital images into souvenir gift cards to raise money for birdseed at my Bird Sanctuary. I also post images to be used in the Google Search Index for species identification. (I do not work for anybody, nor am I paid for my efforts). It is my dream to assist people in learning about other living things on Earth by offering pictures of live things-living and colorful. Not the dead black and white images that were available when I was a child!!!
As you know, I am always experimenting with the different editing programs available online. I personally like the way my cards look with the digital frames on my images! Some people do not care for them at all. To the new people joining the photography hobby, I want to say one thing to you: Do your own thing. If you want to experiment with editing options, just start doing it. Do not worry if anybody likes it or not, just think about what you like. You can undo anything you do if you do not like it. It is more about free thinking to be creative. Anybody can memorize facts. Not everybody can imagine and create. Let me give you an example: take 10 people with cameras, put them in the same place at the same time to take a picture of the same thing like a flower. What you will see is 10 digital Images that look pretty close to the same thing. (Of course the better the equipment, the better shot) So say they all use camera phones-it is still going to be 10 shots basically the same. What will make the difference in how the shot looks is the editing.
Your photostudy tonight is the same tiger butterfly on the same plum flowers in my backyard. The effect I am featuring is the mirrored frame in Picnik program. See if my treatment makes the same thing look different every time. I want you to know I am not good or great, just different! I numbered the images, so if you have a favorite leave the number you like in comment box (or if you do not like it). Enjoy!
