HI Everybody!! Please Come In and Escape with me for a few minutes. To all of You who commented and +1ed the very high blog post from last night: Thank You. Happy to hear You are enjoying the blog!
Well I did have another complaint on getting too High on the Blog. I did not realize there was a glass ceiling in Google Space, but I keep running into it!! What can I say? I am trying to work on some personal fears of heights, mountains and spacecraft. Indeed I find all the high places scary and would never go that high in real life. I am in South Texas on the ground and see no reason to ever change. Like my trees, I have roots. My mind, however, is Free and like my birds, I can fly!
I am enjoying the World Tour we are taking and if it is a little scary, then that is a cheap thrill as we call it in Texas. I am excited to have all of You traveling with me. (I feel like I always have to explain having fun just for having fun).
Anyway, to whoever is complaining about my mountain adventures: Next time we get that high on a mountain, I am going to push you off!!!!!!

Io

With over 400 active volcanoes, Io is the most geologically active object in the Solar System.[7][8] This extreme geologic activity is the result of tidal heating from friction generated within Io's interior as it is pulled between Jupiter and the other Galilean satellites—Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. Several volcanoes produce plumes of sulfur and sulfur dioxide that climb as high as 500 km (300 mi) above the surface. Io's surface is also dotted with more than 100 mountains that have been uplifted by extensive compression at the base of the moon's silicate crust. Some of these peaks are taller than Earth's Mount Everest.[9] Unlike most satellites in the outer Solar System, which are mostly composed of water-ice, Io is primarily composed of silicate rock surrounding a molten iron or iron sulfide core. Most of Io's surface is characterized by extensive plains coated with sulfur and sulfur dioxide frost.
Io's volcanism is responsible for many of the satellite's unique features. Its volcanic plumes and lava flows produce large surface changes and paint the surface in various shades of yellow, red, white, black, and green, largely due to allotropes and compounds of sulfur. Numerous extensive lava flows, several more than 500 km (300 mi) in length, also mark the surface. The materials produced by this volcanism provide material for Io's thin, patchy atmosphere and Jupiter's extensive magnetosphere. Another of the myths is told most anecdotally by Ovid, in Metamorphoses. According to Ovid, one day, Zeus noticed the maiden and lusted after her. As Io tells her own story in Aeschylus' Prometheus Bound, she rejected his whispered nighttime advances until the oracles caused her own father to drive her out into the fields of Lerna. There, Zeus covered her with clouds to hide her from the eyes of his jealous wife, Hera, who nonetheless came to investigate. In a vain attempt to hide his crimes, Zeus turned himself into a white cloud and transformed Io into a beautiful white heifer. Hera was not fooled. She demanded the heifer as a present, and Zeus could not refuse her without arousing suspicion.
Hera tethered Io to the olive-tree in the temenos of her cult-site, the Heraion, and placed her in the charge of many-eyed Argus Panoptes to keep her separated from Zeus. Zeus commanded Hermes to kill Argus; Ovid added the detail that he lulled all hundred eyes to sleep, ultimately with the story ofPan and Syrinx. Hera then forced Io to wander the earth without rest, plagued by a gadfly (Οίστρος or oestrus: see etymology of "estrus" ) to sting her into madness. Io eventually crossed the path between the Propontis and the Black Sea, which thus acquired the name Bosporus (meaning ox passage), where she met Prometheus.

Born July 16, 1958 , Michael is the second of five children. He has a brother and three sisters. Dance was in his blood. Though Michael was born and raised in the United States , he often visited family in Ireland . Years later, when these dreams became reality, an empty front row seat at every show marked his silent tribute to the late grandmother he so adored.
"She once visited me in Chicago in an ice cold winter. At that time I was completely broke, working occasional jobs for a couple of bucks an hour, dreaming of becoming the greatest dancer in the world. It was she who encouraged me to make my life special and to dance. Two weeks later she died. The empty seat is a sign of my respect to her, for I believe she is still watching me."
Michael's parents were committed to retaining their children's Irish heritage, so at age 11 Michael was "dragged by the ears" to Irish dance class. He was sent home after being told he was too old, but Michael persisted. Not only because "there were lots of pretty girls in class," he confesses with a grin, but also because he could not let a challenge go unanswered. Surpassing his classmates in winning competitions, 17-year-old Michael became the first American to bring the title of All-World Irish Dancing Champion to the US . At the same time Michael studied traditional Irish flute and won the first of several titles as All-Ireland Flute Champion. His destiny and his dreams were beginning to merge.
