Part two of the 'Road Trip' was lunch at the Southern Flyer Diner. The Airport was 10 miles away from the Rose Emporium way out in the country. My friend, Brenda and I were planning to take photos of planes coming in and taking off while eating a famous burger and malt from a 50's menu. I had heard this was a destination cafe for pilots, so I was hoping to see a place full of pilots having lunch! WRONG!!! Not one plane took off. Not one plane landed. There were no pilots having lunch. In fact, there was only a few planes to see! I found out this is not a big airport like Houston! The chocolate malt was really good and the company of my friend and her family! I did see one really cool jet in the photostudy below. Enjoy!
