a new trail path in china's tianmen mountain national park offers visitors an unusual experience:
the floor and rails of the pathway are composed of glass, offering walkers a vertigo-inducing look
at the sheer drops and wilderness below. the walkway spans three feet wide, composed of glass 2.5-inches thick.
measuring approximately 200 feet (61 meters) long, the walkway is raised almost a mile into the air at about 4700 feet
(1430 meters), inviting comparisons to the grand canyon 'skywalk' in arizona, USA. the passage joins the west cliff
at the yunmeng fairy summit, where tianmen mountain and zhang jiajie meet. visitors to the tianmen mountain bridge
are requested to wear shoe covers to keep the glass transparent and clean.

The 627-square-meters interior space contains repast space, kitchen and toilet. The ground floor is elevated to respond the change of Water levels. On the restaurant’s interior, the beams support roof and the beams also accommodate several strip -shaped clerestory windows which bring in natural light and view from outside. A series of different shaped shelves made of local fir looks warm and vernacular. The building looks like a super window for overall view.
When the house completed, I asked a friend: “what is the impression of that house?” Answer: “for materials produced by way of a half transparency texture.”

Tianmen Mountain (ChinesepinyinTiānmén Shān) is a mountain located within Tianmen Mountain National ParkZhangjiajie, in northwestern Hunan Province, China.
A cablecar was constructed by the French company Poma from nearby Zhangjiajie railway station to the top of the mountain. Tianmen Mountain Cableway is claimed in tourist publications as the "longest passenger cableway of high mountains in the world", with 98 cars and a total length of 7,455 metres and ascent of 1,279 metres. The highest gradient is an unusual 37 degrees. Tourists can walk on kilometres of paths built onto the cliff face at the top of the mountain, including sections with glass floors. An 11km road with 99 bends also reaches the top of the mountain and takes visitors to Tianmen cave, a natural hole in the mountain of a height of 131.5 metres.[4]
A large temple is also located on the summit with chairlift or footpath access. The original temple here was built in the Tang Dynasty. Today a more recent construction with Tang dynasty architecture occupies the site and includes a vegetarian restaurant in the 10000 square metre setting.
On September 25, 2011 Jeb Corliss glided through the 100 feet (30 m) wide archway in the mountain using a wing suit. The flight began from a helicopter at 6,000 feet (1,800 m), and ended with a safe landing on a nearby bridge

http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2010/09/chinas-tianmen-mountain-winding-road-joins-our-list-of-dream-drives.htmlAs just under 7 miles in length and with a total of 99 turns, the narrow road has been chiseled out of the landscape, rising 1,100 meters (3,600 feet). Nicknamed “Heaven-Linking Avenue”, just toss us the keys to a Porsche GT3 at the bottom and by the top we’re sure to be in heaven.

This concludes our tour of Tianmen Mountain!  Hope You enjoyed it. I am wishing all of You a great weekend. I will see You back on Monday. Goodnight!

Leaving You with one more Great Performance!
