We Are Going To St Louis to see Penguins! (A Snap, Presto Magic PhotoBlog)

Hey Everybody!!  Come on in and get ready as we have a busy agenda tonight!  Yes another trip, by request, to St. Louis, Missouri.
We are going to see our Nature Group Friend, John Sanders. He has invited us to the Zoo in St. Louis as it is suppose to be really cool. We will just see for our self!
Here we are at the Gateway Arch to the City!

DESCRIPTION:

The Gateway Arch attracts four million guests each year. At 630 ft., our nations tallest man-made monument includes the Journey to the Top, movies, Museum of Westward Expansion and shopping. The Gateway Arch serves as the anchor for the Core of Discovery, a family friendly attractions district that spans from the St. Louis Riverfront to Citygarden. The Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse are part of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. Open daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. Extended Summer Hours. Limited Accessibility.

PUSH PLAY TO SEE THE SUNSET!

Now let me introduce you to John. This is +John Sanders on G+ or Michael EverReady Sanders on Facebook. These are his profile names in case you want to look him up. I first noticed John in the streams doing posts about cooking and eating.  Being a retired chef and therefore always hungry, I saw he knew what he was talking about how to cook good food!! I asked him to send me a plate to Texas and that is how we started talking. He has a great attitude and puts positive stuff out there for his friends. We ran in to each other on spotify music, twitter, photobucket, flicker and facebook. So he is my running buddy on this superhighway and helps me out when I get stumped! He is a city boy and I am a country girl so we really did not have much in common. But, thanks to my birds, he has begun to notice birds and nature around him!!
John's job is taking care of elderly sick people that he helps get to the end of the line. He knows up front they will never get better. He helps them to have a dignified quality of life and great meaning to their last days. This is one of the most difficult jobs in the world. I believe there are angels that walk among us. I believe our John Sanders is one of those angels.

So lets go find him-we are suppose to meet at the train station in the zoo!  This is what he looks like:

Look!  There is the train station and John with the camera!!  HaHa, we found him.  Hi John, we are ready to see the train.
(Just Push Play to continue adventure.)

Everybody Ready???  All aboard the train!!
(Just Push Play to Continue):

Wow-What a cool train ride. We have arrived at the spot to watch the penguin parade. These birds live inside at the zoo, but on certain cold days, they get to come out and play in the snow! I have never seen a penguin before, so this will be a thrill. They are Birds!
(Just Push Play to continue the adventure):

Oh, they are soooo cute-I just love them and wish I could bring one home to Rainbow Creek. (Push Play to see this short one):

Let's see some more information about Penguins:

Kingdom:Animalia
Phylum:Chordata
Class:Aves
Infraclass:Neognathae

Sharpe, 1891

Penguins are an aquatic family of flightless bird found in the southern hemisphere. Their wings have become flippers and they have dark backs & white fronts for camouflage in the sea. They spend about half of the their lives in the ocean and half on land.

Hey Everybody! This is so great to see these wonderful birds.
John just happened to say:  "I wish we could see them where they live in the world."
All of the sudden, Snap, Presto---we end up on a boat on our personal guided tour!!  What is this?  Magic?  (Push Play to continue our special guided tour):

John was so excited about this tour that he said:  "I wish we could go a little higher and see some more" And once again like magic, Snap, Presto here comes our own personal warm space ship with a great sound system playing my favorite: Vangelis! Okay everybody:  All aboard the Starship as you do not want to be left out in the cold in a place like this!  (Just Push Play to continue the adventure)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vangelis

That was so great! This really is a very cool place! Oh No, it looks like John is about to say something else...too late, John is just saying:  "I wish we could go a little higher". And Snap, Presto we are on the Space Station! (Just Push Play to continue our adventure!!)

This is really great, but it is getting late and I must get back to Texas. I had to ask John to please not wish to go any higher as his wishes seem to be granted.  So let's get in the plane and head back to St. Louis, Missouri (Just Push Play to enter the plane):

Great we are on the ground again and back where we started at the train in the St Louis Zoo. This return train trip is the complete trip with tunnels even. Please exit at the gate you need to get out of here. Just push the pause button at any time to stop the train. (Remember you can always come back to John's Page here and take the trip as many times as you want).

John and I are going to take the first exit and go downtown for a nightcap. Even though I do not drink anymore, I can not come all the way to St Louis and not see some of the greatest jazz/blues on the planet. I added a link to the St Louis Hall of Fame if you want to see more (below).
John just said  "I wish we could see how the sound of St Louis got started"; and, you know, Snap, Presto like magic we are back way before we were born to 1939 and listening to Ella Fitzgerald in New York (Just Push Play to complete our long adventure!)

Thanks everybody for joining us on our trip to see John in St. Louis, Missouri. I hope you had a good time. If anybody else wants me to make a trip to somewhere, leave a comment with the name of a place (where people take cameras) and I will see what I can find for us on the public internet.

How am I going to get back home you ask?  Of Course, I am going to Ask John to Wish me back to Texas, and, you know, Snap, Presto, like magic I will be home in my feather bed in Texas! Goodnight! Thanks John, it was great hanging out in St Louis with You. Talk to You tomorrow!
